Saints Won...Will You?
I actually worked the entire game LOL (3-7). Oh well. :)

I'm scared/nervous and jittery about the next ocntest! lol And we have to wait till friday? AHH!
How are the winners going to be chosen? What scoring system will be used?  What percentage is going to be given for each set of scores we submitted?  For example:

Since we guessed at three sets, is each set worth max of 33.33 points?  If so, would it be gauged according to something similar to the following:

Game 1: Saints vs. Vikings
If you guessed Saints would win = +25pts (If you guessed Vikings would win = 0pts)
If you guessed score exactly = +8.33pts (max pts = 33.33)

If you guessed within 1-3pts of Saints final score = +2.5pts
If you guessed within 1-3pts of Vikings final score = +2.5pts

If you guessed within 4-5pts of Saints final score = +1.5pts
If you guessed within 4-5pts of Vikings final score = +1.5pts

Example: If you guessed Saints would win (+25) and guessed they would score 29 (final score = 31 = you guessed within 2pts = +2.5pts) and guessed Vikings would score 23 ((final score = 28 = you guessed within 5pts = +1.5pts) so your final points for this game would be (25 + 2.5 + 1.5) = 29pts out of 33.33pts possible
---------------------
Game 2: Colts vs. Jets
If you guessed Colts would win = +25pts (If you guessed Jets would win = 0pts)
If you guessed score exactly = +8.33pts (max pts = 33.33)

If you guessed within 1-3pts of Colts final score = +2.5pts
If you guessed within 1-3pts of Jets final score = +2.5pts

If you guessed within 4-5pts of Colts final score = +1.5pts
If you guessed within 4-5pts of Jets final score = +1.5pts

Example: If you guessed Colts would win (+25) and guessed the score exactly (30-17) your final points for this game would be (25 + 33.33) = 33.33pts out of 33.33pts possible
---------------------
Game 3 / Superbowl: Saints vs. Colts
If you guessed Saints would win = +25pts (If you guessed Colts would win = 0pts)

Example: If you guessed Saints would win (+25) and guessed they would score 27 (final score = 31 = you guessed within 4pts = +1.5pts) and guessed Colts would score 23 (final score = 17 = you guessed within 6pts = +0pts) so your final points for this game would be (25 + 1.5 + 0) = 26.5pts out of 33.33pts possible

Overall, after getting 29pts (1st game) + 33.33 (2nd game) + 26.5pts (Superbowl), you would have a total of 88.83pts out of 100 possible points.

I think a format something along these lines might make putting winners in order easier?  Thoughts?  Opinions?  Please share!
FA - you made my brain hurt!
I think they probably have their system figured out. Let's just wait and see. Math, ack.
i didn't watch the game, I went to sleep at 7pm and woke up at 11:30pm (I wasn't feeling good and the only reason I woke up was to post my finals for my two classes that just ended last night).  I stayed up till 3am talking in another chat room and didn't look at the scores till about 1:30am when I checked out ESPN.com

As for the next contest i'm just ready for it to happen!
I was lucky to have TV and power yesterday. We got hit with the snOMG over the weekend and we are expecting another 10 inches of snow tomorrow. We lost power for a while, lost satellite for a very long time, and I thought the boys in the house were going to be spending a very cold and sad Super Bowl Sunday not watching the game, but they did end up watching it. I am just glad that I didn't listen to my husband, and kept the Saints as my winning team for the Super Bowl.

FP can't believe you slept thru the game. Poor girl.  I cried when the Saints won!  YeAh!  Also made $150.00 bucks on it!  TeeHee  Still hoping I will win a gold sqweegel!  But it makes my brain hurt to try and figure this math out!!
Even if i was awake for it, I probably wouldn't have watched it.  As exciting as it probably was to have the Saints win for the first time in history, I just don't get into football.  The most football I could take was when I was in highschool and was in the marching band twirling a flag a rifle and a saber around on the field!
Some things are just meant to be Z-I Luuuurve the Colts-In fact, I have a kid named Peyton in one of my classes and I wrote him a detention-I wrote the detention for Peyton Manning!-I couldn't stop laughing when I realized my mistake, but I made him serve it!

I love high school and college football, but pro football just doesn't seem to have the "heart."  I was busy working last night on some things, so I didn't get the chance to watch it; however, I was hoping the Saints would win.
I'm excited to hear what the next contest will be--c'mon Friday!
I worked until 2 hrs before the game (had worked 13 hrs on Sat too - ugh). So I just relaxed in my chair watching the commercials and some of the football. Had fun twittering with some other 26ers throughout the game too.
FA - honey you need slow down - your gonna pull a brain muscle doing all that math!
That game was sick. GO Saints!!! lol Im so glad they won. But did you guys catch that halftime performance? dreadful.... uggh The Who have seen better days thats for sure cuz that sucked.... and the commercials weren't funny for the most part... but wicked intense game for sure!!!
...snOMG.  LOL!   I saw SNOWMAGEDDON...which I thought was pretty funny, too.
Well, we're gonna get it tomorrow...6-10"  and BYH...you're supposed to get another possible 20 INCHES...sorry.  Don't kill the messenger...heh.
And, y'all think it makes YOUR BRAINS HURT...?  Try havin' a tube comin' out of it(aka the braindrain.  heh.)--WELCOME TO KATHWORLD!! smiley-wink.gif

Oh yeah...the Super Bowl...it was AWESOME!!  I was here at my cushy house sitting gig.  They have a 52-inch plasma TV,  4 bathrooms, lots of potent potables, a huge fireplace, and a finished basement that looks like a sports bar.  The house sittees said I could have "a few" people over...so I did.  Is 15 including me a few?  Close enough.  heh.  Everybody brought a dish to pass,  their own booze, and each person had to give up their keys...and a phone number of someone who would be available and sober to pick 'em up.  The game was great, the Halftime Show ROCKED...AND THE SAINTS WON!  (and nobody got stupid and respected the house...and me.  Which was very cool!)

Some of the commercials were HYSTERICAL...the Doritos spot with the dog and the electric collar, the Etrade baby ("is that milkaholic Tracy there??"  LMAO.) and the BETTY WHITE/Snickers spot...("that's not what your girlfriend said...omg!!  That was great.) And, the Clydesdale/Bull commercial...it was so cute!  "Nothin' comes between friends..." awww.

One more thing...I was here all day...and everybody was good.  WELL DONE!!  smiley-kiss.gif

PEACE--(or should I say WHO DAT?)
